Halloween Party Activities

Let us assume that Halloween invitation, theme, costumes, food etc planning has been done. Now, it is a time to plan for the activities of the party. Halloween party activities are comprised of some games and creative events that are organized for the guests.

Halloween party for kids Activities

• Word Scrabble game
  • Give each child a paper with a long Halloween related word such as scarecrow, Frankenstein etc
  • Give the children a time of around 3 minutes to form as many words from the given long word as possible
  • It is expected that every child should generate minimum three words from the given long word
• Search and Hide with 'it'
  • This game is a variation of hide and seek
  • One person is 'it' and hides
  • Others have to search for the 'it'
  • When someone is successful to find the 'it', that person too joins the 'it' and hides with 'it' instead of revealing about the 'it'
  • Soon it is found that large number of children are now hiding with 'it'
  • The last kid who is left to find 'it' becomes the 'it' next time
• Wrap the partner
  • Divide the kids in pairs
  • One in each pair should stand still
  • The other partner should wrap his/her partner, who is standing still, in a roll of tissue paper
  • One who wraps his/her partner first, is the winner

Adult Halloween Party Activities

• Stick Halloween stickers on the back
  • Distribute 10 Halloween stickers to each of the guests
  • Finish off all the 10 stickers, by sticking them to the other guests
  • If the guest, to whom you were about to stick, catches you, then you miss the chance of sticking. Rather he/she will stick one of his/her sticker on your back
  • You can continue to stick the stickers, even though you are caught while sticking the stickers
  • As per the rule of the game, if someone falsely accuses of catching you while sticking, then you can put one of the sticker to his/her back
  • The person who finishes sticking first is the winner
• Search and tie the ribbon pieces
  • Cut the streamers into at least 400 pieces
  • Hide the pieces of streamers throughout the house
  • Pair the guests to search the streamers
  • Keep a time limit of 15 minutes
  • Guests should find the streamers with their partners
  • After collecting the pieces of streamers, guests with their partners should join the pieces to form one long streamer
  • Whoever creates the longest streamer is awarded the prize

Using Craft as a Halloween Activity

• Carving and painting the pumpkins
  • Allocate pumpkins to the guests
  • Give them the accessories required to carve and paint the pumpkin
  • Ask them to carve and decorate the pumpkin with ghostly features

Using Food as a Halloween Activity

• Spooky Cookies and Candies
  • Distribute cookies and candies to the guests for decorations
  • Allow the guests to decorate cookies and candies with some monster and ghostly figures
  • Award the best decorated cookies and candies
• Frame a skeleton from Pasta
  • Hand over black paper, pastas and glue to kids
  • Ask them to glue pastas over the black paper to create skeleton
  • Appreciate each kids creativity and offer favors to all the kids
