You need to buy rubber bats of various sizes. Small size rubber bats have four inch wingspan, medium sized rubber bats have eight and a half inch wingspan and large size bats have twelve inch wingspan. You will get these rubber bats at a local Halloween store or at a local store.

Hanging bats from the ceiling is not a difficult task. Purchase lightweight fishing line. Cut it into variable length so as to give it a flying effect. The length of fishing line depends upon the height of the ceiling. So, cut the fishing line in accordance with the height of ceiling. Generally, large bats come with an elastic, black cord attached to their back so as to make it easy to hang them by. But, since, the cord is visible in the light; we can replace the black cords by flight weight fishing lines. These light weight fishing lines camouflage easily in the light and lend a realistic effect.

You will also need a large sewing needle, two white head thumb tacks and clear glue like the tacky glue to hang each of the bats.

Tear off the tape into several small pieces. Stick the tape to the centre of the bat that is protruding and stretch the string i.e. fishing lines towards the ceiling and paste the string over there with the help of a tape.

Tying rubber bats at different levels of height will make them seem as if they are flying around.

You can use other ways to hang Halloween bats using your own ideas. There are several ways to tie and hang them. Sometimes, you can also get rubber bats which have string attached to them. All you need to do is just climb the ladder and paste the string over there. This requires very few efforts.
